Client: Bell Sports
Create a helmet cutaway illustration to show the structural and airflow advantages of one of the world’s most advanced helmets.

the solution

Bell supplied the helmet as well as a sample of the plastic mesh reinforcement. The result was a highly detailed cutaway illustration showing the internal reinforcement demonstrating the airflow. And if you check out the second view, I also included a preview of the Adobe Illustrator vector line work that goes into creating something like this.

@joe, the design of the protective gear has almost as much to do with efficient air flow, as the design of the cycle itself. Without proper aerodynamics the rider will experience all kinds of drag which really adds up after a while.
